NFIB's Duggan: It's Nearly NFIB Ballot Time. Here's Why Your Vote Is So Important.

Date: May 03, 2018

NFIB members,

May is shaping up to be an exciting month for NFIB and our members. We continue to receive confirmation from you that tax reform is working for your business. One of our members recently testified before Congress to let them know too.

In the wake of tax reform, small business optimism is high. NFIB’s monthly Jobs Report came out today, and your responses to that survey clearly show that job creation is soaring.

When you tell us what’s going on at your business, we are better advocates for you. There are lots of opportunities to be involved with NFIB—tell our grassroots team your story, attend an NFIB event, or just contact us directly—but the most important way to make your voice heard is to vote the NFIB Member Ballot.

Next week, you’ll receive NFIB’s Federal Member Ballot, which includes important questions on extending tax reform, increasing the gas tax, making healthcare costs more transparent, and more. These issues are on the front burner, and your voice is crucial. Each NFIB member gets one vote on the ballot, and the results drive our work for you. No other business organization can say that. Please give us a few minutes of your time to vote the ballot next week when you receive it.

The ballot has been a cornerstone of NFIB since our founding days. Speaking of our founding, in just a few weeks, on May 20, 2018, NFIB will officially be 75 years old. A lot has changed in our country since 1943, but our work for you has not. We have been and will continue to be the voice of small business, focusing exclusively on your needs as a business owner.

To ensure we’re effective for many years to come, NFIB is committed to growing our advocacy and increasing our influence for small and independent businesses. In the coming weeks, NFIB will make an exciting announcement that speaks directly to that commitment… to being the voice of small business for 75 more years and beyond. Look for a note from me in your inbox with more information soon.

Until then, thank you for being an NFIB member and for being the voice of small business.

Sincerely,

Juanita D. Duggan, NFIB President
