A letter from your NFIB/Missouri State Director

A letter from your NFIB/Missouri State Director

Dear NFIB/Missouri members,

Happy belated Groundhogs Day. It’s funny. This “sort of” holiday may be one of the most referenced at the capitol. “I remember this bill. It’s introduced every year – like Groundhogs Day.” It’s true that very few major pieces of legislation are introduced and passed the same year. Even with the present makeup of our legislature, differences abound and changes are inevitable. If you throw into the mix the fact that the governor never met a pro-business bill that he didn’t feel compelled to veto, well let’s just say that there are several bills that experience a reincarnation every January 1. The good news is some of those bills are alive and well this session and they are moving along quickly. Tax reform and unemployment insurance changes are on a fast track this year – both of which are important to small business owners.

Sincerely,
Brad Jones
NFIB/Missouri State Director
