At NFIB/Florida, we’re
too busy working on small business tax cuts to focus on the holidays. We know
you’re looking forward to some quality quiet time away from your business, but
hopefully you can spare a few seconds this week to help us with an important
effort by the business community. NFIB, along with some partners in the
business community, just launched Cut
My Rent 1 Percent – a campaign to cut the sales tax you pay on your
business rent.
Florida is the only state that imposes a sales tax on business rent. We are
committed to changing that, but we can’t do it without you.
The coalition we’ve built in Tallahassee to cut the Business Rent Tax is
strong, but it’s nothing without the voices of our members.
Legislative Session starts in January, so the time to start talking to your
legislator about the Business Rent Tax is now. In this issue of NFIB Local,
find out what you can do now as this campaign gears up.
