As most of you know session started Monday January 8 and is expected to run until mid-April. The first week was mostly ceremonial while the past couple weeks, committees and subcommittees began to meet and discuss various pieces of legislation.
Of course the big news in week one was Governor Kim Reynolds Condition of the State address, which addressed tax reform and her goals of dramatically reducing the individual rate here in Iowa. This will be our main focus throughout the year and its anticipated that a bill or two will be introduced in February.
