Save the Date for Iowa Small Business Day

Date: February 14, 2018

As most of you know session started Monday January 8 and is expected to run until mid-April. The first week was mostly ceremonial while the past couple weeks, committees and subcommittees began to meet and discuss various pieces of legislation.

Of course the big news in week one was Governor Kim Reynolds Condition of the State address, which addressed tax reform and her goals of dramatically reducing the individual rate here in Iowa. This will be our main focus throughout the year and its anticipated that a bill or two will be introduced in February.

Small Business Day at the Iowa Capitol:

SAVE THE DATE for SMALL BUSINESS DAY at the IOWA CAPITOL MARCH 13

NFIB Iowa Members,

Please mark your calendar for March 13, 2018, when NFIB will participate in Small Business Day on Capitol Hill in Des Moines. You and your fellow business owners will have the opportunity to tell lawmakers about your top priorities this year, and to network with NFIB staff and each other.

Participating in NFIB events is an easy way to get involved and make the voice of small business bigger.

A more formal invitation will follow in February. We hope to see you soon!
