NFIB/New York State Director: We Need Your Voice

Date: April 19, 2017

Member engagement is critical for NFIB to be effective in fighting for your business both here in Albany and in Washington D.C. To that end, there are two upcoming events that will help us promote our pro-small business agenda in both locations.

First, our annual Small Business Day at the Capitol is May 17th. This is a rescheduled date from March when a snow storm interfered with our original advocacy date. We hope to have a strong turnout in May. It’s a great opportunity for you to connect with other business owners, benefit from the expertise of recognized national speakers, and meet with your representatives in Albany. Hearing from you and learning how legislation impacts your business can be eye-opening for lawmakers. Further details and registration information can be found here.

Please mark your calendar for NFIB’s annual “Fly-In” event in Washington, D.C. this summer! The Fly-In is a chance to meet with NFIB members from across the country and meet your Congressional representatives on Capitol Hill. The Fly-In will take place July 26th – July 27th. There is a registration fee, but complimentary hotel accommodations will be provided for one night the first one hundred registrants. More information and registration information can be found here.

The “Fly-In” and our Small Business Day are important shows of force for our organization to lawmakers at the state and federal level.

I hope your spring season is off to a wonderful start and I hope you all will strongly considering lending your voice in fighting for your business alongside us.
