Hear From Your Missouri State Director

Date: July 15, 2015

Brad Jones discusses how you can voice your concerns on harmful regulations.

Dear NFIB/Missouri Members,

Although the session has ended, there has not been much of a break for those of us working on small business issues. St. Louis and Kansas City are in processes of proposing their own minimum wage ordinances. Meetings in both cities are ongoing and NFIB is working with several other business associations to try to minimize the impact of these job killing proposals.
Also, NFIB was very instrumental in getting a law passed that would require state agencies to do a periodic review of their regulations. If you feel there is a regulations that is particularly harmful to your business, you can respond by going to http://www.sos.mo.gov/adrules/csr/csr.asp.

The first round of reviews will include the following agencies:

Title 1 – Office of Administration
Title 2 – Department of Agriculture
Title 3 – Department of Conservation
Title 4 – Department of Economic Development
Title 5 – Department of Elementary and Secondary Education
Title 6 – Department of Higher Education

Regards,
Brad Jones
