State Director for Louisiana
Dawn Starns McVea was named as NFIB’s state director for Louisiana since 2014. She also serves as state director for Mississippi.
McVea holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from Louisiana State University. Before joining NFIB, she served as executive director of the Capitol Region Legislative Delegation and CAP PAC LLC. She also managed the Legislators’ Charity Fund, which raised money to help the homeless as well as children’s programs and a local food bank.
She previously was executive branch liaison between Kimble Development and the Louisiana Office of Community Development and event manager for the Leadership for Change! Summit on education reform.
