SMALL BUSINESS COMMUNITY WELCOMES ADVOCACY EFFORTS

CONCORD (February 9, 2017): In response to today’s budget speech by Governor Sununu, the following remarks may be attributed to Bruce Berke, National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) New Hampshire State Director:

We applaud the Governor’s proposal today for a balanced budget that does not include raises in taxes or fees. The small business community thrives on fiscal stability and certainty and knowing that our Governor is focused on ensuring that the state is spending within revenue projections allows small business owners to have confidence in New Hampshire’s long-term fiscal certainty.

One of the most challenging aspects of operating a small business in the Granite state is navigating the challenging waters of over regulation. Hearing Governor Sununu’s proposal for a small business advocate today is certainly a step in the right direction. Knowing that their concerns will no longer fall on deaf ears is a welcome change for our members, and we look forward to seeing the program successfully implemented.
