Barbara Quandt Accepts Promotion, NFIB to Hire New State Director
The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) announced that Barbara Quandt will be taking on a new position as Regional Director, vacating her current position as NFIB State Director in Indiana, a role Quandt has served for the past 14 years.
Quandt’s new position will oversee NFIB’s State Government Relations Programs in Indiana as well as eight other states: Colorado, Wyoming, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Utah, Montana and Idaho.
“It’s been an honor to work as state director advocating for small business owners here in Indiana,” said new Regional Director Barbara Quandt. “As a former small business owner, the struggles of navigating the economic hardships entrepreneurs are close to my heart. Especially right now, many of our hard-working small business owners are finding it difficult to survive. The COVID-19 pandemic has crushed not only the spirits, but the bottom lines of many of our Hoosier small business owners. In my new role, I hope to spread NFIB’s message beyond Indiana to resonate this simple truth: if lawmakers fail to listen to small business, the country’s economy is at great risk.”
