New COVID-19 Restrictions Take Effect Nov. 20

Date: November 17, 2020

Gov. J.B. Pritzker said today he’ll move all of Illinois to Tier 3 COVID-19 mitigations on Friday, Nov. 20.

The governor said the move is not a stay-at-home order but will reduce capacity at general merchandise stores to 25%, while grocery stores and pharmacies will operate at 50%.

Bars and restaurants can remain open, but will not be allowed to offer indoor service, and tables should be 6 feet apart.

Office workers able to work from home should work remotely.
