Pittsburgh Pirates President to Speak at NFIB Member Event!

Date: March 10, 2015

Dear
Pennsylvania Member,

Opening
Day is just around the corner. Already, the Pittsburgh Pirates are part of the
post-season conversation! The new and improved Pirates are a far cry from
the team that just a few years ago recorded its 18th-straight losing
season.

Team president Frank
Coonelly will speak to NFIB members on Monday, April 20, to share an insider’s
view of the rebuilding effort he began in 2007 that included a sweeping
front-office overhaul. The ground-up restructuring that Coonelly began in 2007
has set off a winning fever that has spread throughout the city and region and
is the chatter around batting cages across Major League Baseball.

Mr. Coonelly’s
presentation will be the hottest ticket in Harrisburg and kicks-off NFIB’s 2015
Small Business Day at the State Capitol event. The day-and-a-half event
features private meetings arranged by NFIB for its members with the
highest-ranking officials in Governor Tom Wolf’s administration as well a
leaders in both the state Senate and House.

These face-to-face
meetings are an exclusive benefit of your NFIB membership. This is your
opportunity to speak candidly with elected officials about policies and
mandates that affect your bottom line.

A number of tax changes
are under discussion in Harrisburg. There currently are several proposals to
raise the minimum wage. The Governor and his allies also are calling for a
statewide paid leave mandate.

NFIB needs your help to
explain “CEO-to-CEO” how these proposals would affect your business.
It also is your opportunity to tell them about the  priorities you believe
they should be working on instead.

The cost
to attend is just $35 for NFIB members and their guests. NFIB also has arranged
a special rate for accommodations at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Harrisburg.

Increase
the value of your NFIB membership by attending Small Business Day at the State
Capitol.
