Complying with Federal Healthcare Changes Starting in 2015

Date: October 15, 2014

What Small Business Owners Need to Know
With 2015 only a few short months away additional provisions of the federal Affordable Care Act will soon be implemented and small business owners must comply. While NFIB strongly opposed the ACA to the point of a Supreme Court lawsuit, small business owners must know how best to prepare.
NFIB Massachusetts is hosting a FREE seminar to help small business owners in the Taunton Area learn what changes are coming in 2015. George Gonser, CEO of Spring Insurance Group, will detail several provisions of the ACA being implemented at the beginning of next year.
Things to Know:
  • Employer mandate requirements and reporting requirements begin in 2015
  • Small business (SHOP) exchanges are supposed to begin online enrollment and must be self-sufficient in 2015
  • All individual and small business health insurance plans that were renewed early must come into compliance with ACA requirements
  • Small business health insurance tax will increase 40% in 2015
When polled, many small business owners list healthcare cost as their top budget buster. That is why we will provide tips on how to lower the cost of healthcare for your business and suggest options that best fit your needs as a business owner.
