2018 Election Message from
NFIB President and CEO Juanita Duggan
Every election seems to get labeled with the cliche that it’s the most important ever. With small business optimism at the highest levels in 35 years and with the pro-small business control of Congress on the line, I think we can legitimately say this year it is.
The next Congress will make the difference in whether the small business tax cuts are made permanent or they disappear. The votes they cast will determine whether small businesses continue to receive regulatory relief or face more mandates and regulations. Across the country, governors and state legislatures will enact policies that either foster a strong small business climate or destroy it.
We are committed to providing the resources to you – a Small Business Voter – to make the most educated choice you can as you prepare to cast your ballot. Being a Small Business Voter extends beyond the walls of your business. As a small business owner, your influence extends to your employees, your family, and your community.
We’ve accomplished so much in the last year and we can’t let up now. The stakes are too high for your business, your community, and your country. If you have questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me or visit our website at NFIB.com/elections.
Thank you for your involvement and for being a Small Business Voter.
Juanita D. Duggan, President and CEO
