Rep. Houchin visited a Greendale small business to learn more about daily operations
U.S. Representative Erin Houchin (IN-09) joined Legit Decisions Printing in Greendale for a Small Business Challenge event. Owners Heather and Nick Gilbertson along with their employee Kelly Armbrust showed the Congresswoman the daily operations of the print shop.
“I think some people are born knowing they are going to run a business, and that is how I have always felt,” Nick Gilbertson said.
Heather and Nick explained that their business started in a small room inside their house in 2022 and then moved to their current location in Greendale in 2024. They are committed to providing high-quality print jobs and offer design and embroidery work as well.
The 20% Small Business Deduction has been a huge benefit for their business and with Congress making it permanent, it gives them the certainty to plan and invest in the future of their businesses. Rep. Houchin recognized the importance of the deduction and supported the legislation that finally made it permanent. NFIB advocated strongly for the 20% Small Business Deduction.
ICYMI: Indiana is projected to gain 27,000 new jobs annually over the next 10 years if the Small Business Deduction remains in place, including an annual GDP increase of $1.4 billion for the first decade and $2.8 billion per year beyond 2035.
“Being a small business owner is a unique experience, and we appreciate Representative Houchin for spending time with one of our Indiana small businesses,” said NFIB Indiana State Director Natalie Carroll.

NFIB is a member-driven organization advocating on behalf of small and independent businesses nationwide.
