NFIB will continue fighting for pro-small business policies in Minnesota
NFIB Minnesota State Director Jon Boesche released the following statement after Governor Tim Walz’s 2026 State of the State Address to the Legislature.
“Governor Walz’s final State of the State Address left much to be desired. While the Governor touted measures to address affordability, he ignored the impacts of burdensome regulations, such as the Paid Family and Medical Leave mandate and payroll tax, that are contributing to the rising costs. As Minnesota’s small business community struggles to adjust to these regulations, owners are faced with increased costs which are leading to lower growth and higher prices for goods and services. If Minnesota continues down the current path, our state will lose its competitiveness and overall appeal.”
NFIB is a member-driven organization advocating on behalf of small and independent businesses nationwide.
