January 21, 2026

The webinar will be held on Jan. 27

The state Department of Revenue is encouraging NFIB members and other small business owners to sign up for a free webinar on the consolidated net worth election for franchise and excise taxes.

The webinar will be held on Jan. 27 at 9 a.m. Central time.

Department staff will explain how Tennessee’s consolidated net worth election works, including eligibility requirements, filing considerations, and how affiliated business groups can calculate net worth on a consolidated basis.

NFIB State Director Jim Brown said the goal is to help small business owners understand their options and potentially simplify compliance with the state’s franchise and excise tax rules.

Register for the webinar through the department’s website.
