Last week, NFIB presented its Guardian of Small Business award to three deserving state legislators from the Chattanooga area – Senator Todd Gardenhire and Representatives Dan Howell and Esther Helton-Haynes.

NFIB members Hugh Morrow (Ruby Falls), Connie Vaughan (McKee Foods) and Garnett Decosimo (Decosimo Corporate Finance) made the presentations, respectively, along with State Director Jim Brown.

The Guardian of Small Business award is the most prestigious honor that NFIB bestows on legislators in recognition of their efforts to support small business. The NFIB Tennessee Leadership Council, an advisory board comprised of NFIB members, voted to present the award to the legislators for their outstanding leadership on small business issues.
