NFIB Issues Action Alert in Final Hours of the Session

Tell Your Senator: Stop the Paid Leave Expansion!

That’s the message NFIB is asking its members to deliver to their state senator in the final hours of the 2025 session of the Nevada State Legislature.

The Senate is a considering Assembly Bill 388, which would expand paid leave for both public and private employees. Under the proposed expansion, businesses with 50 or more employees would have to comply with:

Increased leave entitlement

Reduced employment requirements

Increased paid leave wages

Includes provisions for civil action against private employers.

This mandate is both financially and administratively burdensome. And while this bill specifically targets businesses with 50 or more employees, it would only be a matter of time before it became a widespread burden for all small businesses in Nevada.

Paid leave is a business decision that should be decided by you, not Carson City.
