Sen. Cornyn Visits NFIB Member Businesses

March 21, 2025

Sen. John Cornyn discussed tax relief and other key issues

U.S. Sen. John Cornyn visited with three Austin-area NFIB member business owners on March 20 to listen to their concerns including making the 20% Small Business Deduction permanent.

Cornyn stopped at Wally’s Burger Express, Roadrunner Radiology, and Young & Pratt Inc., a plumbing, heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning (HVAC) company in Manor. Robert Mayfield of Wally’s and Joni Jack of Roadrunner serve on the NFIB Texas Leadership Council.

NFIB State Director Jeff Burdett said, “We want to thank Senator Cornyn for taking time to visit with our small business members. It gave them a chance to engage with the senator about the issues affected their small businesses, including the 20% Small Business Deduction, which will expire in December unless Congress votes to make it permanent.”

After the visit, Senator Cornyn said on X, “I will keep fighting to make these tax cuts permanent & work with @POTUS to ensure that Texas & all American families can keep more of their hard-earned money.”
