Bruce Thompson Earns NFIB Georgia PAC Endorsement for Labor Commissioner

The NFIB Georgia PAC today endorsed Bruce Thompson for state labor commissioner. The political action committee is comprised solely of NFIB members.

The endorsement is based on Thompson’s record and position on small business issues, NFIB State Director Nathan Humphrey said.

“Labor is one of the most pressing issues facing small businesses right now,” Humphrey said. “Small business owners are struggling to find enough people to work, and, a lot of times, the people who apply don’t have the skills they need. Bruce Thompson knows this. Bruce is a small business owner who achieved a 100% NFIB voting record in the Georgia Senate. He fully understands the challenges facing small business owners. He understands that Georgia needs to take action to ensure we have a skilled workforce, and he understands that ensuring we have a solvent state unemployment trust fund will not only help workers but also help employers by reducing the need to raise unemployment insurance rates. That’s why I’m proud to announce the NFIB Georgia PAC’s endorsement of Bruce Thompson for state labor commissioner.”

Today’s endorsement puts the considerable grassroots support of the state’s small businesses behind Thompson’s campaign. Small-business owners and their employees vote in high numbers and are known for recruiting friends, family members, and acquaintances to vote. NFIB will encourage its Georgia members to help turn out the powerful small-business voting bloc on Election Day.
