98 Tennessee Legislators Achieve 100% NFIB Voting Records

NFIB State Director Jim Brown today said that 98 state legislators — 26 members of the Senate and 72 members of the House — achieved a 100 percent NFIB Voting Record in the 2023-24 legislative session.

“Tennessee’s pro-small business environment exists because our state legislature continues to promote policies that bolster small business,” Brown said. “The last two years, these legislators voted for significant tax, labor, and tort reforms that will go a long way to helping our small businesses grow, thrive, add jobs, and invest in their communities.”

Brown said the NFIB Voting Record does not reflect every element considered by a lawmaker when voting, nor does it represent a complete profile of a legislator. The 2023-24 Voting Record includes 10 key votes in both chambers of the legislature on issues important to small businesses. It does not factor in that many of these legislators were very helpful to small business in committees.
