New $12 per hour cost the final step of a phase-in law passed in 2019

Nevada’s minimum-wage rate jumps to $12 an hour on July 1, the final increase of a 2019 law that raised it in yearly, 75-cent increments from then until now.

Also, there is no more two-tiered rate based on the offering of health insurance, and the new pay rate makes employees eligible for daily overtime is $18/hour.
