Healthcare

Affordable. Flexible. Predictable. Healthcare that works for small business

End Burdensome Regulations and Mandates

  1. Eliminate Essential Health Benefits (EHB) that require small business group plans to cover ten benefits, raising the minimum cost of coverage significantly.
  2. Allow purchasing of insurance products across state lines. This increases competition among insurance companies and drives health care costs down. It would also give business owners more options to choose plans that best fit the needs of their workforce, instead of being locked into in-state markets.
  3. Eliminate the Medical Loss Ratio (MLR) that caps profits at 20%, creating an incentive for companies to charge higher rates to increase profits and fuel industry consolidation.
  4. Allow insurance companies to accurately set the community rating of the population.
