Competitiveness

Leveling the playing field against big businesses’ anticompetitive practices

Right to Repair

The ability to access information on manufacturing parts is crucial for the auto industry. Small businesses support requiring auto manufacturers to provide relevant repair data to independent auto shops.

The bipartisan Right to Equitable and Professional Auto Industry Repair (REPAIR) Act, H.R. 1566, would eliminate barriers for independent auto repair shops. The REPAIR Act will require auto manufacturers to provide independent auto repair shops with guaranteed access to the same tools, software, and manuals that manufacturers offer to their authorized service centers.

This REPAIR Act is a crucial step in safeguarding access to vehicle data needed by independently owned auto shops to repair America’s passenger vehicles safely and efficiently.
