NFIB Texas Discusses Labor Shortage on WOAI

In a conversation with WOAI’s Michael Board, NFIB State Director Jeff Burdett highlighted the ongoing labor challenges for small business owners.

The latest NFIB jobs report found that 36% of small business owners reported job openings they could not fill in November, up one point from October.

In this busy time of year, Burdett said, “Small business owners are out there, probably putting in 60 hours a week or 80 hours a week. They love their business and they want to do all they can for that business and so that’s just kind of part of being a small business owner. You put in those type of hours.”
