New NFIB Op-Ed in National Review: "Will Small Businesses Survive the Latest Regulatory Deluge?"

WASHINGTON, D.C. (Feb. 23, 2023) – In a new op-ed published by National Review, NFIB Small Business Legal Center Executive Director Beth Milito explains how the latest ‘Waters of the United States’ rule by the Environmental Protection Agency is another example of federal overreach that will hurt America’s small business owners – including farmers, ranchers, and home builders. “When it rains, it pours, and small businesses can’t afford the resulting flood. That’s the reality of the Biden administration’s latest “Waters of the United States” (WOTUS) rule, which the Environmental Protection Agency rolled out just before the start of the new year. This mandate is a brazen example of federal overreach, issued despite several reasons to delay, and surely no one will suffer more than America’s smallest ranchers, farmers, and home builders.” “This mandate should be seen for what it is: Anti-small business, anti-growth, and anti-freedom. It’s too late to stop the Biden administration from issuing it, but it’s not too late for Congress to repeal it, or the Supreme Court to overturn it.” Read the full op-ed via National Review: https://www.nationalreview.com/2023/02/will-small-businesses-survive-the-latest-regulatory-deluge/ NFIB recently released a statement on the final EPA rule on WOTUS, noting that it creates further confusion for small business owners: https://www.nfib.com/content/press-release/homepage/nfib-statement-on-epas-premature-wotus-rule-that-adds-uncertainty-for-small-businesses/
