The event gave NFIB members a chance to engage directly with elected leaders
Small business owners from Virginia joined NFIB members from across the country in Washington, D.C., recently for the 2025 NFIB Fly-In.
Owners heard from House Speaker Mike Johnson and met with members of Congress and key staffers to discuss pressing issues facing Main Street, including the need to make the 20% Small Business Deduction permanent.
Virginia members had a productive meeting with Rep. Rob Wittman and shared their concerns with staff representatives for Sen. Tim Kaine and Reps. Jennifer McClellan and Eugene Vindman.
“These one-on-one conversations are important,” NFIB State Director Julia Hammond said. “Our members made sure the voices of Virginia’s small businesses were heard on Capitol Hill.”
NFIB is a member-driven organization advocating on behalf of small and independent businesses nationwide.
