TAKE ACTION: Tell Your Lawmaker to Oppose Union Disruption

February 18, 2025

Lawmakers are considering Senate Bill 5, which would disrupt the balance struck between employers, employees, and labor unions.

Coloradans have benefitted from the Labor Peace Act for more than 80 years. Unfortunately, lawmakers are considering Senate Bill 5, which would undermine this important law by eliminating the second vote required for employees to establish what’s known as a ‘union security’ agreement in the workplace – therefore requiring non-union employees to union fees.

The vast majority of Coloradans support the current two-vote system in place, ensuring strong worker support. It is critical to preserve the Labor Peace Act in the state of Colorado to protect small businesses and the state’s competitiveness in the future.
