AUSTIN (Aug. 6, 2024) – Ahead of the annual Sales Tax Holiday, NFIB Texas is encouraging consumers to shop small. The sales tax holiday, which begins on Friday, August 9, and runs through the weekend, is a great opportunity to support local businesses. “When you shop small, you support your local community,” NFIB State Director Jeff Burdett said. “The sales tax holiday is a great opportunity to save big while supporting the small businesses that keep our communities thriving. Small business owners not only create good-paying jobs for our neighbors and friends, but also sponsor local events, school fundraisers, and Little Leagues.
