REMINDER! Be Sure You Are Ready for the New MI Unemployment System Set to Go Live on December 15

November 25, 2025

The MI unemployment system is transitioning to a new tax & benefits system called MiUI

The Michigan Unemployment Insurance Agency (UIA) is transitioning to a new tax and benefits system called MiUI, which will replace the current Michigan Web Account Manager (MiWAM). When MiUI goes live, which is scheduled for December 15, 2025, Michigan employers will use MiUI — not MiWAM — to submit tax payments, file wage reports, and UI benefits. UIA’s new computer system is designed to modernize the process, providing improved tools for electronic submissions while streamlining quarterly reporting and payment tasks for employers. EMPLOYERS MUST USE THIS NEW SYSTEM.

Where to Find More Information

Employers can find more information and resources about UIA’s new computer system implementation at MiUI University.
