Bipartisan budget agreement delivers needed tax certainty to Main Street Arizonans

PHOENIX, AZ (June 10, 2026) – After the Legislature reached a budget agreement with Governor Katie Hobbs,  NFIB State Director Chad Heinrich issued the following statement thanking state lawmakers for their efforts to deliver tax certainty to Main Street Arizonans.

“This is a big win — and it’s been a long time coming. Arizona small business owners finally have the tax certainty they need to invest, hire, and grow. Bonus depreciation, Section 179, and R&D expensing enables the business owners who build things, hire people, and serve their communities to do more of what they do best. None of this happens without Speaker Montenegro, President Petersen, Appropriations Chairs Livingston and Farnsworth, and the legislators who held the line when it would have been easy not to. They fought for small business and they delivered.”
