Please Vote Your Oregon State Member Ballot

You should receive your Oregon State Member Ballot shortly. It’s important to vote. Unique among business associations and other groups, the lobbying positions NFIB takes in Salem and in Washington D.C. are based on what its small-business-owning members say is important to their ability to own, operate, and grow their enterprises. Since its early history, NFIB’s work on policy issues has been determined through a one-member, one-vote balloting process of its membership, which is why state and federal policymakers recognize and respect NFIB as the true Voice of Small Business. The 2022 regular session of the 81st Oregon Legislative Assembly begins Feb. 1, 2022, and runs until March 7. NFIB will be in the thick of the action and is looking for its members’ opinions on four issues in particular.

Should Oregon adopt a statewide minimum wage increase?
Should Oregon strengthen requirements for state agencies to consider and mitigate the small business impacts of administrative rules?
Should Oregon create a mechanism for individuals to certify themselves as an independent contractor?
Should Oregon farmers and ranchers be required to pay overtime to employees after the first 40 hours worked per week?
