NFIB North Carolina PAC Endorses Candidates in Four Judicial Races

The NFIB North Carolina PAC, a political action committee comprised exclusively of NFIB members from throughout the state, said today it has endorsed candidates in four critical judicial races:

  • Jefferson Griffin, for Associate Supreme Court Justice Seat 6
  • Tom Murry, for Court of Appeals Seat 12
  • Chris Freeman, for Court of Appeals Seat 14
  • Valerie Zachary, for Court of Appeals Seat 15

“Judicial elections are important because judges make decisions that can have a big impact on North Carolina’s small businesses,” NFIB State Director Gregg Thompson said. “Their rulings can affect things like contracts, workplace rules, and property issues. The NFIB North Carolina PAC believes these candidates will ensure we have a legal system that treats everyone fairly.”

The general election is on Tuesday, Nov. 5. In-person absentee voting begins on Oct. 17 and ends on Nov. 2.

The NFIB North Carolina PAC’s endorsements are important to these campaigns. Small business owners and their employees vote in high numbers and are known for actively recruiting friends, family members and acquaintances to go to the polls. NFIB’s political support is based on the candidates’ positions and records on key small-business issues.
