NFIB Maryland Saves Event an Informative Success

NFIB in Maryland hosted an informative virtual meeting on September 14 to help members learn more about what this new program means for small businesses in the Old Line State. State Director Mike O’Halloran provided attendees NFIB’s Employer and Employee Overview sheets that give a high-level overview of MarylandSaves. You can view and download those resources HERE and HERE. More information from the state can also be found at marylandsaves.org and marylandsaves.com. The Maryland Small Business Retirement Savings Program — MarylandSaves — went into full effect on September 6. The NFIB event and the information sheets help business owners understand:
  – Which small businesses are required to establish a retirement savings plan under the
    MarylandSaves program?
  – What is the penalty if a small business does not register with MarylandSaves?
  – Once workers enroll in MarylandSaves, what do small businesses need to know?
If members have any questions, don’t hesitate to reach out to NFIB’s Maryland office.
