NFIB Florida PAC Endorses DeSantis for Second Term

The Florida PAC today endorsed Gov. Ron DeSantis for a second term. The political action committee is comprised solely of small business members from throughout the state.

“Governor DeSantis has shown us time and again that he truly understands the challenges facing Florida’s small business community and will do everything he can to maintain an environment where our members can continue to own, operate, and grow their businesses,” State Executive Director Bill Herrle said. The endorsement was announced at a DeSantis campaign event held at ATMAX Equipment Co., an NFIB member business in Tampa.

“Since taking office in 2019, Governor DeSantis has done an outstanding job allowing Florida’s small businesses to succeed,” Herrle said. “Our members truly appreciate how he has handled the pandemic, balancing the need to reduce the spread of the virus with the need to ensure that businesses can continue to operate and keep Floridians working.”

“We also appreciate everything the governor has done to help offset challenges such as inflation and rising fuel prices,” Herrle said. “Governor DeSantis’s decision to waive Florida’s fuel tax will provide immediate relief for small businesses and reduce the cost of raw materials and supplies to finished goods and deliveries.

“Governor DeSantis also showed he had Main Street’s back when he vetoed a bad bill that would have disadvantaged small businesses facing state tax audits

“Ron DeSantis is the leader we need need to get us through the current economic slowdown and position the state for continued growth in the months and years ahead,” Herrle said. “On behalf of our small business members, I’m proud to announce the Florida PAC’s endorsement of Ron DeSantis for a second term as governor.”

Today’s endorsement is significant in an important election year. Small business owners and their employees vote in high numbers and are known for actively recruiting friends, family members, and acquaintances to vote. The PAC’s support is based on candidates’ positions and records on small-business issues.
