NFIB Colorado Welcomes New Leadership Council Member

The NFIB Colorado Leadership Council is pleased to welcome Audrey Dehdouh-Berg from member business DeBourgh Manufacturing Company in La Junta. DeBourgh was established by four brothers, Oscar, Herman, Henry, and Alfred Berg in 1909 in Minneapolis, MN.  Starting as a small sheet metal fabrication shop specializing in poultry supplies, roofing, gutters, steel ceilings and light metal works. Over time the company grew in both its capabilities and expertise in steel fab to offer defense equipment, aviation parts, earth moving equipment and machinery, and incredibly sturdy pedestrian bridges that you can still find scattered across the country. Today, DeBourgh is known for its locker systems for schools and professional sports teams. Audrey has devoted her human resources expertise to DeBourgh since June 2017. She has a deep understanding of the challenges currently faced by employers as they look to recruit, train, and maintain their workforce. She also generously contributes her time and skills to several programs in the area, also sitting on the advisory board for Trails 2.0 and the Perkins/CTE Advisory Board at Educated at Carthage College and Université de Caen Basse-Normandie, Audrey’s academic journey Otero College. “With her extensive experience and dedicated community service, Audrey exemplifies a passion for human resources, education, and community leadership,” said Tony Gagliardi, NFIB Colorado state director. “Her career reflects a powerful combination of professional excellence and community engagement.” NFIB Leadership Council Members:
  • testify at legislative hearings involving small-business issues
  • host lawmakers for a tour of your business operations
  • be a quotable contact for the media
  • assist in implementing the political strategy for elections, including recruitment, endorsements, fundraising, and other grassroots efforts
  • help shape questions for the state ballot, the results from which are considered by lawmakers, state constitutional officers, and the bureaucracy to be the true voice of small business.
