Missouri Small Business Owners Participate in Roundtable Discussion in Kansas City

Last week, NFIB small business owner members participated in a roundtable discussion in Kansas City, led by Ways and Means Chairman Rep. Jason Smith, Rep. Ron Estes, and Rep. Mark Alford.

There, job creators were able to share their stories and highlight how the 20% Small Business Deduction has helped them invest in their employees and operations.

“From the largest employers to the smallest, business owners are deeply concerned about the massive tax hike that’s scheduled to take place next year if the Small Business Deduction expires,” NFIB State Director Brad Jones said. “Our local business owners are having a really difficult time finding qualified applicants to fill their open positions and are battling rising prices. This tax relief has been critical to their survival these past few years. We need Congress to give Main Street greater certainty by making the 20% Small Business Deduction permanent.”
