Minnesota Paid Leave Division Hosting PFML Listening Sessions

Minnesota small business owners can weigh in on key aspects of the program, learn more about implementation.

The Minnesota Paid Leave Division is in the process of implementing the 20-week Paid Family and Medical Leave law passed in 2023 and updated this year.

As part of the implementation process, the Paid Leave Division (part of the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development, or DEED) is beginning a rulemaking process that will establish policies and procedures governing the Paid Leave Program.

From mid-June through early July, the Paid Leave Division is holding virtual listening sessions on a series of topics that will inform their draft program rules. Attendees can learn more about the program and weigh in to help shape the program.
