Make Your Voice Heard: Virtual Workgroup on Sales Tax on Leases

February 3, 2026

The Colorado Department of Revenue, Division of Taxation, is hosting a virtual workgroup meeting to discuss the promulgation of a new sales tax rule regarding leases

The Colorado Department of Revenue, Division of Taxation, announced it will host a virtual workgroup meeting in February to discuss a new sales tax rule regarding leases. The Department has revised its draft rule based on stakeholder comments it has received thus far and is requesting additional public comments.

You are the best expert on small business issues! Sales taxes on leases, whether it be commercial property or equipment, will not only increase the cost of doing business, but ultimately the cost of goods and services for consumers.

The virtual workgroup meeting will be held on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. CLICK HERE to register and learn more about the workgroup.
