LISTEN: Tough ‘Labor Market’ is The Overarching Problem for Small Business Owners

NFIB State Director Brad Jones discusses small business owners’ hiring challenges on Wake Up Missouri.

In a conversation with Wake Up MissouriNFIB State Director Brad Jones discussed the findings of the latest NFIB’s latest Small Business Economic Trends (SBET) survey, noting the drop in optimism.

“Job openings and the labor market are still the overarching problem for small business owners,” Jones said. “We had 58% of our members tell us that they tried to hire in September. This last month, though, it dropped two points. That’s a little bit discouraging because that means we’ve got fewer small businesses out there even trying to hire. That’s a little bit disconcerting.”
