“At the end of the day, NFIB is telling both bodies we need tax relief. We’ve polled our small business owners, and the inventory tax is the most burdensome among our members. We’ve seen a bill in the Senate, SB 5 proposed by Sen. Tan Parker (Flower Mound) that proposes raising the tax exemption from $2,500 to $25,000 and providing a tax credit on the franchise tax. We’re hoping to bump that up a little more and look forward to working with lawmakers on the nuts and bolts of that legislation.”CLICK HERE to listen to the full interview.
