LISTEN: Kansas Small Business Owners Would’ve Benefitted from Bipartisan Tax Reform

HUTCHINSON (May 9, 2023) – “We are certainly disappointed in that,” NFIB State Director Dan Murray said when asked about Governor Kelly’s veto of bipartisan tax reform. In a conversation with Nick Gosnell of the Hutch Post, Murray described how the tax reform bill would’ve provided meaningful relief to Kansas job creators. “We felt that tax bill would have provided, not only tax relief for our small business owners, but also simplified the code for them.” During the interview, Murray and Gosnell also discussed two surveys recently released by NFIB, including a report on small business owners’ confidence in the banking system and the latest jobs report.
