Health care legislation that would increase costs for small business owners and Arizona taxpayers is once again moving through the state legislature. House Bill 2035 would add an unprecedented level of regulation to health care coverage not seen in other states, further increasing health care costs for Arizona employers and their hard-working employees.

Recently the legislative budget office issued a report that shows HB 2035 will cost taxpayers approximately $3 million in state general funds annually to administer, including additional staff needed at two agencies. This means that taxpayers will be on the hook to pay for more government bureaucracy that will do nothing but increase costs to your small business health care plan.
