The event gave small business owners a chance to engage directly with elected leaders
NFIB Louisiana Director Leah Long joined small business owners from throughout the country Washington, D.C., June 9-11 for the 2025 NFIB Fly-In.
NFIB members heard from Speaker Mike Johnson and met with other members of Congress and their staffs to talk about critical issues, such as repealing burdensome and costly beneficial ownership requirements and saving the the 20% Small Business Deduction, which is set to expire at the end of the year.
“It was good hearing Speaker Johnson talk about about some of the federal issues affecting small businesses in his home state,” Long said. “Our members also apprecited the opportunity speak directly with other lawmakers about the legislation that could affect their ability to grow their businesses and create jobs.”
