In-Demand Job Week Scheduled for May 6-10

The state-sponsored event is aimed at helping small businesses and other employers find qualified workers

Ohio’s seventh annual In-Demand Jobs Week is scheduled for May 6-10.

Organized by the Governor’s Office of Workforce Transformation, In-Demand Jobs Week is a statewide event focused on the jobs, skills, and industries in demand throughout the Buckeye State. This years theme is, “Ohio, the Heart of Opportunity.”

State officials are encouraging small businesses to get involved and host events during the week. Possibilities include:

■ Job fairs and hiring events
■ Open houses/facility tours
■ Career signing days at local schools to celebrate upcoming graduates committed to joining your business
