ICYMI: Rep. Lloyd Smucker Hosts Small Business Tax Roundtable in York County

On August 1st, Congressman Lloyd Smucker (PA-11) hosted a Main Street Tax Team roundtable in York County with small business owners to discuss how federal tax policies impact their business operations. Making the Small Business Deduction (Section 199A) is a top priority for small business owners as it is set to expire in 2025 unless Congress acts. Smucker,” said Melissa Morgan, NFIB Pennsylvania Assistant State Director. “The Small Business Deduction has allowed small business owners to further invest in their business, their employees, and their community. It is crucial that Congress passes the Main Street Tax Certainty Act and make the deduction permanent.” The 20% Small Business Deduction (Section 199A) allows small businesses organized as pass-throughs (S corporations, LLCs, sole proprietorships, or partnerships) the ability to deduct up to 20% of qualified business income and is scheduled to expire in 2025. “Having a seat at the table with Congressman Smucker was a great experience for us as small business owners,” said Marci Bittner. “Taxes are always a complex issue for small businesses, so it was helpful that we could tell Rep. Smucker exactly how federal taxes impact our day-to-day business operations.” May be an image of 8 people and text TAKE ACTION: Pennsylvania small businesses will face a massive tax increase if Congress fails to act – tell your lawmakers to pass the Main Street Tax Certainty Act NOW before the Small Business Deduction expires in 2025!
