House Speaker Bryan Cutler Sits Down with NFIB to Discuss 2022 Priorities

Representative Bryan Cutler (R-Lancaster), the top-ranking official in the Pennsylvania House, recently sat down with NFIB State Director Greg Moreland to discuss NFIB’s 2022 priorities. The discussion included key issues for small business as we enter the new year, including the many issues surrounding the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative, the importance of paying down the Unemployment Compensation Trust Fund Debt, important Regulatory Reforms, and Small Business tax fairness.

Speaker Cutler agrees that entering Pennsylvania into the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative is not good news for small business and that the way the Governor is attempting to make this decision unilaterally is not right.

Cutler said, “RGGI is an interstate compact and if you look at our history here in the Commonwealth, every interstate compact that we have ever entered into has been through the legislative process. The Governor is attempting to unilaterally enter this compact by going through the regulatory process, which brings up constitutionality concerns.”
