Strengthening the Regulatory Flexibility Act will reduce regulatory burdens on small business
What it means: NFIB led over 70 trade associations in sending a letter urging Congress to strengthen the Regulatory Flexibility Act (RFA). This would give small businesses more input on the impact of proposed regulations.
Our take: Passing pro-small business regulatory reform legislation like the Prove It Act ensures agencies take small business into consideration and limits burdensome regulations on small businesses.
Take Action: Stop agency abuse of the RFA and support giving small business owners a say in regulatory decisions!
Regulations enacted during the previous administration have impacted small businesses across the nation by adding paperwork and compliance costs on small businesses who often do not have a dedicated compliance department like their larger competitors. Without regulatory relief from Congress, small businesses will continue to suffer from government overreach that harms the ability for small business owners to own, grow, and operate their business.
NFIB led a coalition of over 70 organizations urging Congress to strengthen the Regulatory Flexibility Act (RFA) to reduce the impact of burdensome regulations on small businesses. The coalition urges Congress to pass legislation such as the Prove It Act, which would increase small business input and ensure agencies are fully accounting for the impact of regulations on small businesses.
Enacting H.R. 1163, the Prove It Act into law would ensure agencies cannot exploit the RFA and restores it back to its intended purpose. This will allow small businesses to better plan and invest in their future. Read the full letter urging members of Congress to deliver regulatory relief.
Take Action: Tell members of Congress how government regulations hinder your small business!
