NFIB State Director Jim Brown testified via video on Feb. 9 in support of Senate Joint Resolution 2, a measure that would let voters decide whether to preserve Tennessee’s right-to-work law in the state constitution. The Senate Judiciary Committee approved the resolution by a vote of 7-2.

Speaking remotely via video, Brown told the committee there is a push in Congress prohibit states from passing right-to-work laws. “We ask that you go in a different direction than Washington, D.C.,” he said, adding three out of four Tennessee members of NFIB support the proposed amendment.
