June 14, 2024 Last Edit: November 27, 2024

Small businesses continue to try to attract and retain employees, according to NFIB Jobs Report.

In a conversation with Fox 4’s Shaun Rabb, NFIB Texas State Director Jeff Burdett highlighted the findings of NFIB’s latest Jobs Report, which found that an exceptionally high number – nearly half – of small businesses are still struggling to fill open positions.

“We’re seeing a tight labor market as our owners still try to fill current positions at their firms,” Burdett said. “In our report, 37% of owners reported raising compensation just in May, and that’s really historically very high.”
